Q: What is your management style?

A: I never ask designers to do anything I couldn't do myself. So I am constantly learning the latest in design and technology in order to mentor and lead my team as well as provide a clear vision and example of a direction to follow.

Q: Name a difficult project you lead, why was it difficult, how did you overcome it, and what were the results?

A: Protection Score was a feature that spanned across 3 different platforms(web, mobile, and desktop) that required 3 different engineering teams and 3 different product managers. Managing multiple verticals with so many moving parts was difficult but not impossible. Maintaining consistency across the design with multiple global design teams was an issue as well. Communication, collaboration, and cooperation became imperative as I managed the different teams and iterated on the designs. Eventually we were able release the feature across all three platforms within a sprint cycles of each other and found success in user reach and retention.

Q: How do you build alignment with cross-functional partners?

A: Share early, share often. Create clear visbility and work closely in the pod dynamic. This yields effective discussion and a shared vision towards a positive product outcome.
